Latest version of Firefox won't open on my Mac
I'm trying to use the latest version of Firefox but after downloading it, moving the icon into Applications etc, the application fails to respond when I try to open it. The icon just bounces in the dock indefinitely, until I give up and Force Quit. This has been happening for ages, and I've tried so many times to update my Mozilla browser... Most people just tell me to use Chrome but I don't want to switch. I like Firefox! My MacBook is running OS X 10.7.5 Please help!

Restart and check it out. Are you getting any error message/code.
Thanks for your reply...
I've tried restarting after download, no joy.
No error message at all, just Application Not Responding.
Some time it happen for me in my iPad also. Remove it and restart and go for clear install one more time. Thanks
Hello bethrm
If there is an issue with update or permissions the better, quickest and safest way is to download and install firefox:
1. Download a copy of the latest firefox from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
2. Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean install.
3. Install the version that you have downloaded.
Do not select to remove your personal data, your profile data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox Profile Folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks or other personal data.

You can also try to repair the disk permissions:
I don't really understand this one I'm afraid... Also, I'm pretty sure I don't have a disc for my operating system. I think I just downloaded it.
