is there a way to set cache for web content and media to much higher than the configured value of 1024 MB for web ,and 512 for media . tried doing so from " about:config " but it doesn't seem to impact the browser's configuration , and it still clears most cache when it reaches the pre-set limit . I'm trying to do so because I have limited bandwidth and plenty of disk space so I would rather have many things cached for the long run instead of reloading them frequently .

No, the maximum (and minimum) size for the disk cache is hard coded.

We set a lower bound of 50MB and an upper bound of 1GB.
