So out of the blue Firefox now freezes when I right click a bookmark from either the menu or the toolbar.

It doesn't happen every time, have no idea what causes it, I've tried clearing cache/cookies, started Firefox in safe mode and updated all plugins. Only two AddOns I have is noscript and adblock.

Only thing I've noticed is it started happening more frequently after I switched to a new router.

When I rightclick a bookmark in the sidebar or bookmarks toolbar there are a range of options like open & New bookmark at that stage as I have not chosen to do anything there is no reason for any delay.

When does the delay happen with you, after you have right clicked and tried to open a bookmark ?

One troubleshooting step you could try is bookmarking a saved file on your local hdd Firefox would then not be trying to go online to open the bookmark. (There is also an option to work offline in Firefox ).

Do you get a freeze or delay when opening the same site by keying it into the location bar ?

The add-on Firebug may help to explain delays (and may itself occasionally cause problems - not something to be left running when not needed)

You could try disabling no script and addblock. If this is an intermittent problem that does not happen often it may be rather dificult to pin down

Hello. So my computer completely locked up instead of its normal 3-5 second browser freeze, had to restart and haven't had the problem since.

Weird situation but in any case, problem seems to be fixed for now.
