A download asked me to RESTART Firefox. How do I do this?

I have purchased a map update from Garmin. I go through the process they describe for the download. It then asks me to restart Firefox. Once Firefox has restarted it will take me to the finishing window. I don't know how to restart Firefox other than restarting the whole computer which doesn't help.

Unless you have MR Tech Toolkit installed, you cannot really restart Firefox. What you can do is shut Firefox down and then relaunch it.

You can close (Firefox > Exit/Quit) and restart Firefox to finish the installation of an extension.

Shutting down the computer while Firefox is still running is not a good idea. You are making Firefox crash if you do that. You can damage the profile doing that.
