Firefox 21.0 (en-us) -2013-05-27.pcv

Chosen solution

First you have to rename the .pcv file to .zip file

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zip_%28file_format%29

then you need a software to do that, probably freeware :

Hello jhack1277, see if after you rename the .pcv file to .zip (".pcv" file is actually a normal ".zip" file) you can unzip it and (if it not corrupted) manually restore the profile.

I unzipped the file( without restoring the profile) and used the MozBackup again-this time it worked. I'm not sure why, but Thanks very much for your help. Most of the instructions were over my head.
