How do you keep your bookmarks from disappearing everytime you close firefox 21 on windows 8?

Ok, So the reason i am posting this question is, Because everytime i put my bookmarks from google chrome in manually, The firefox on my computer doesnt allow those bokmarks that i put into firefox to stay. So please if there is anyone who can reslove this problem please reply!!!! Thank you for reading this Description. Goodbye.

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.
