Why can't I update the plug-ins I have after downloading the latest version of Firefox?
My banking website requests the latest version of Mozilla Firefox, and the latest plug-in updates. I downloaded the latest version of Mozilla Firefox, then check my add-ons and see that the plug-ins are still outdated. They won't update when I click update. UGH!

You do have some catching up to do.
Adobe Flash (Shockwave Flash)
Get the latest version here: http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Make sure to uncheck any unwanted tag-along products. If you have been viewing Flash media in Firefox, exit Firefox while updating, then start Firefox up again to confirm that it found the new Flash player.
Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat
Use the Help menu in your product to update that software, and the plugin will be updated automatically. You may need to restart Firefox in order for it to detect the change.
Java
Use the Windows Control Panel > Java to update your Java to the latest. Make sure to uncheck any unwanted tag-along products during the install process.
QuickTime
As with the others, try using Apple's updater to update QuickTime.
Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the Mozilla Plugin Check site.
Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions. If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow Update button or a red Update now button, please update these immediately.
To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.
