Using Windows 7 Adobe Flash Player install failed. Firefox now fails to start - event viewer details at the bottom of the message. I've uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it (v22.0). I've uninstalled Flash Player via the Control panel. Sorry, to correct Event Viewer, the error I get after uninstalling flash player and firefox then re-installing firefox is this... Find your profile and delete pluginreg.dat.

And run sfc/scannow and search for missing essential system files.

I've deleted pluginreg.dat and run scannow.

scannow found nothing and firefox still doesn't start.

The error message in Event Viewer is exactly the same as before:-

You can check for malware (i doubt that, unless you got the wrong flash, should check anyways), and look at other solutions.
