When I check my comcast email, I get the message that the server license has expired. I tried reloading Firefox and it worked one time.

Hello,

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the Clear now button.

Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

I haven't heard of this error before. Can you copy/paste it (if it's from a web page) or post a screen shot of it (if it's a dialog or pop-up)? This article has tips: How do I create a screenshot of my problem?

Also, do you have any custom connection settings? You can check here:

orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced > Network > "Settings" button

Typically No proxy or Use system settings will have the least issues.

After I posted the question, I again did a virus scan and removal tool (no problems found) and re-booted as I have done previously. Now I am reading my email without a "license" message. If it happens again, I will try your solution.

Thank you so much.

Message came back. I cleared the history and logged back into the email. Worked!

Your server's license has expired.

I dragged the box and this message was the only thing that copied. It has a warning message and an exclamation point.

Update! I still get the message every other time I log into my email. I simply clear history, log out, then back in. Fixed temporarily.

Don't know the source of my problem and while it is annoying going through this process, I can at least access my account.

Thanks for the assistance.
