I am having trouble downloading my ebooks from one web site only and it is happening with all the ebooks that i download now. It started off with only 1 or 2 each time i would buy a book but now it is every book. The web site tried to see what was going on and help fix it but all they could find was that firefox was aborting the download about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way through the download. I must admit that i have tried using internet explorer 8 and it has much the same problem saying that download was interrupted and was reset or something and to resume download, again ebook was not downloaded. Is there something blocking this particular web site or is there something on my computer that is resetting the connection each time? Wendy

It is possible that anti-virus software is corrupting downloaded files or is interfering otherwise.

Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

Why should a user have to take out their real time scanning because firefox isn't working properly and is aborting downloads. That's the idea of real time scanning it scans the files for threats. Firefox should work with it and not abort :(

Why? Because the anti-virus application isn't working correctly, especially since the owner of this thread said she had the same issue with IE 8.

Reading completely and comprehension, helps keep avoid that toe jam taste!

I only get this problem when Firefox updates. It is intermittent and happens every couple of updates. I have most of my add ons disabled. I have disabled my anti-virus real time scanning to see if the downloads will complete. Who is at error my anti-virus or Firefox 24?
