I recently purchased a new laptop which came with Windows 8 (appears you can't find a new one with Windows 7 any more). Reinstalled the latest version of Firefox from the official Mozilla download site. Gave the laptop to my wife and she HATED Windows 8. So I purchased a license of Windows 7 and had Fry's downgrade my Windows 8 laptop to Windows 7. All going well for my wife except her Yahoo email and Craigslist adds get continually smaller and smaller. Did the CTL + trick and reset, but was wonder if I need to uninstall Firefox and reinstall it. My thinking is that the Firefox configuration may think it's still on a Windows 8 machine. Would that eliminate the continual need to CTL+ every time the text gets smaller?

Uninstall Firefox from your computer During the unistall process if you want to remove your Firefox user data and settings, put a check mark in the box that says Remove my Firefox personal data and customizations. If you select this option, Firefox will not preserve your bookmarks, saved passwords, and other data if it is installed again.
