Firfox 24 CONSTANTLY crashes, (no Norton installed on my computer), nothing has changed except this "upgrade". What is the problem?
My Firefox 24 CONSTANTLY crashes, other versions have worked fine (except during my earlier ATI video .dll mismathcing problem). Not ONE thing suggested on this site helps. I do not have Norton, I have uninstalled Firefox, reinstalled Firefox. I have disabled all add-ons, disabled accelerators, even uninstalled Flash Player, uninstalled Java, reinstalled Java, disabled Java...... turned off all anti-virus, have done anti-virus/anti-malware scans by Spybot, Hijack This (Trend Micro), Avira, Malwarebytes..... and have come to the conclusion that since so many other people are experiencing the EXACT same thing..... that it's just crap Firefox software.

To add to the above, Internet Explorer 8 works fine, I just don't like it because it's a lot slower than Firefox.
Hello Musicman625,
Sorry for the inconvenience, but from your description i guess the crash you're experiencing may have something to do with other elements like your OS ( i hope it is XP SP2 or above), your drivers etc.
Also try to open Firefox in safe mode by following the steps:
1. At the top of the Firefox window, click the Help menu and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.... Firefox will start up with the Firefox Safe Mode dialog.
2. When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, press the button Start in Safe Mode.
After Firefox starts in Safe Mode, test for your problem.
If your crash still happens in Safe Mode, it is not being caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. See if the Latest Firefox issues article includes a solution and, if it doesn't, try to get help with your crash ID.

It only started happenneing after I upgraded to Firefox 24, I've never had this problem before then. And just to make sure it wasn't any Windows updates, I uninstalled all that were made from Sept. onward. Yes, I have Windows XP SP3 with all updates. I am not a novice computer user.
Hi Musicman625, as I mentioned in reply to your post in a different thread, we should be able to help in a more specific way if you share some of your crash IDs.
