Please check the location that you have posted above.
Is this where the Firefox directory and program is?
If not, please search your computer for the firefox.exe
file.
If none exists, please perform a clean reinstall (I will post the step below).
Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a Clean reinstall. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
Note: You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
- Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
- After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
- Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
- Windows:
- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
- Mac: Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
- Linux: If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see Install Firefox on Linux. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
- Windows:
- Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
- Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
- Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
Please report back soon.
i tried all this steps but nothing change , Firefox won't start
is there any solution?
Are you attempting to open Firefox using a shortcut or but directly opening the firefox.exe
file?
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back soon.
thanks, but nothing change Firefox still won't start !!
help me please
Have you checked to see if there is indeed a firefox.exe
file located in the directory you posted above?
Please try booting your computer in safe mode with network connections enabled. Will Firefox open then?
yes firefox opening in safe mode with network connections enabled but won't open in normal mode !!
Are you using an anti-virus program that may be interfering with Firefox?
When did this issue first occur?
It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Thanks but firewalls not the reason also internet explorer working good!!
another solutions, please
Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
- Firefox 25: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
- Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- (32 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
- (64 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
- It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
nothing change, the problem still in firfox won't open in normal mode !!
Help Help Help , please
You can use one of these to start Firefox in Safe Mode:
- On Windows, hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox with a double-click on the Firefox desktop shortcut
- On Mac, hold down the Options key while starting Firefox
- Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that works.
yes firefox opening in safe mode with network connections enabled but won't open in normal mode !!
If Firefox is opening when your operating system is in safe mode, it can mean any of the following:
- A security program (ex. firewall, antivirus, etc.) is preventing Firefox from working
- Another program on your computer is preventing Firefox from working
- There is a corrupted operating system file
- Malware and/or other infections are preventing Firefox from working
I scanned my computer by bitdefender total security 2013 and it found
23 virus and removed them , but the problem still in firfox won't open in normal mode !!
Is Bitdefender stopping Firefox from operating properly?
no , any other help for firfox won't open in normal mode !!
Ok, so I understand this so far:
- It works in Safe Mode and network connections are fine
- (Safe mode resets some settings and disables add-ons that might be causing problems)
- Other browsers work
- User data was saved and re-add after you reinstalled Firefox 25.0.1 the latest version, and re-imported your user profile data
- You got rid of 23 viruses- awesome!
Still crashes, just a few more to try, please ignore if it has already been tried no need for more frustration.
- Try to reset Firefox when you run it in safe mode then start in normal mode
- In Safe mode is it possible to disable plug ins and restart in normal mode? This will tell us if it is a plugin or a hardware issue.
- - the last item to try would be [Check-a-drive-for-errors]
- This will also test your computer's ram [[ http://www.memtest.org/]]
If those already have been tried please may we request a crash report to better investigate the crash in normal mode? The instructions how to do this are found here [Firefox Crashes, Getting Help]
Please let us know, and we can help others who have this issue too, thank you!
