last updates changed my homepage to pages i hate im getting fed up
Until the last 2 updates i loved Firefox & never had a single issue, i was happy for years... Now, i fear updates & refuse them because Firefox started changing my homepage & etc, forcing me to waste time restoring settings & configuration. Why are you enforcing updates & steering me to content im 100% uninterested in (such as Yahoo India or MSN India)? Dont u care about user disappointment & losing our loyalty to your formerly great product?
Dear Support People, Sorry! I realize this has nothing to do with you and you can't help me. If there is a more appropriate forum, please direct me.

Note that there is a startup.homepage_override_url pref that Firefox might set to show a page that Firefox has updated.
You should still have your original home page set in Tools > Options > General > Startup: Home page
If you do not keep changes after a restart or otherwise have problems with preferences, see:

Hello whyrudoingthis,
this problem can be caused of an add-on. Please check your pc if you got virusses and deinstall useless add-ons. To change your homepage go settings > general and type in the URL
hello, sorry but firefox updates won't change your homepage - this rather sounds like a problem possibly caused by adware on your pc.
please go to firefox > addons > extensions & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc). also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.
