How do I add bookmarks from another computer?
I wish to add bookmarks from a computer in another location (not on a network) to my primary home computer. I do not want to replace those on my primary computer, but to add to them.
Chosen solution
The usual method is to export from the other browser in an HTML format, move that file to the other computer, and then import that file. The bookmarks will be added in an Imported Bookmarks folder, or into the Unsorted Bookmarks folder. Then you can move them wherever you want them in your menu.
These articles have the steps for going from Firefox to Firefox:
- Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks
- Import Bookmarks from an HTML file
If the source browser is not Firefox, there usually is a similar export available. In other threads, we've discovered some format issues with Safari exports that require a little hand editing of the file. (More detail if needed.)

Thank you for resolving the issue. I had backup files from the other computer but did not know how to add bookmarks, rather then replace existing ones.
