Was not able to register, because the site //support.mozilla.org/en-US/users/register does not display but reverts to /auth all the time. Now you have given me a different registering form to ask this question, so I'm in. I wanted to post an answer!!!!

Looks like you were able to register to ask this question! We just want users to register through the ask a question workflow instead of registering for real need to do so.

If you want to help out, we want you to register through the "Get Involved" workflow:

So why is there a I don't have an account link (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/users/register) on the https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/users/auth page and the https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/users/authcontributor page that isn't working and redirects back to the auth page and can't the https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/users/authcontributor be reached from this auth page so you are lost?

If the I don't have an account link isn't working then it should be removed or redirected to a more helpful page.

Hi, I encountered this bug over two years ago, finally glad someone's working on it. If it's a technical problem that's two difficult to easily fix I just want to thumbs-up the idea of redirecting https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/users/auth to some a page with some useful info, such as "Hey, if you want to ask a question, you don't need to register HERE, just go ahead and click <ask a question>."

But note, your policy of wanting people to "be involved" by asking questions... might not be so helpful, if the person DOES want to be involved, by contributing further info on the problem, or suggesting a solution... rather than asking a question (which is the only current way of registering?)

At any rate, as I was wanting to suggest a solution, it was not at all evident to me that I should instead "ask a question" if I wanted to register and then make a suggestion.

Thanks again for clarifying a workaround, and also for looking into correcting the bug. Glad to be registered!
