trying to view cimplicity websites on our corporate intranet. When i view these pages on my pc, a screen opens and loads java, and then the page opens. When I try to access them on my samsung galaxy tab 3, the address bar says "Cimplicity webView", but the page doesn't open it just says " a plugin is needed to display this content". It doesn't say which plugin or if it is even supported. Please help.

Best Regards,

Dave

Chosen solution

The Java plugin does not exist for Android phones.

I don't expect Oracle the manufacture of Java to create a Java plugin for Android due to ongoing litigation between Oracle and Google over Android.

Thus the Cisco VPN Java application will not run on Android.

It is possible there is a Cisco VPN app for Android but it would be up to your IT department to configure/support it. Assuming it even exists.

Please provide a link to the content you are trying to view. I have never heard of the site you are looking for and searching for it is not obvious which result applies to your question.

I can not provide the link. It is part of our internal intranet and can only be accessed through a Cisco vpn client. The Web page is a Java powered Web page. When I view it from my desktop it always asks permission to run the Java plugin for the browser.

This is the link, but like I said before, you will be unable to access it. It keeps asking for a plug-in to view content. As it is doing this the address bar says complicity Web view. Thanks

[ed. removed an internal link for some intranet]

The VPN is installed and working fine bring I guess it is the lack of a Java plug-in that will keep this from working. Thanks for your assistance.
