I tried to open one of my old emails (received in 2013). It was shown in the Inbox folder, but when I tried to open it, it was just blank. I checked other addresses, it was the same. Also I couldn't delete emails which I didn't need. Now I installed the new version of Mozilla. Now I can delete what I want to delete. But I still can't read my old emails, though I really need some of them. I use Windows 7. No options were changed. How to fix that? Thank you very much!

Most likely your Inbox file is corrupted. Typically this is the result of anti-virus s/w making changes to Thunderbird mail files.

Inbox is most susceptible to corruption, so you shouldn't accumulate messages in Inbox.

Try to rebuild the index file of Inbox.
Right-click Inbox - Properties - Repair Folder

If that doesn't fix the problem your best bet is to restore a recent backup of your profile folder.
