Downloaded pdf files won't open in firefox
I have this irritating problem. I need to open pdf files that are already downloaded and stored in my hard drive, so it would be easier to translate them and ect. Either i am doing it wrong, but when i try to do that, i always get a regular Save/Open prompt.
I have tried to pasting the url to to Firefox url field (file:///C:/Users/Kaunaus/Desktop/Bakalaurinis/EPFL_TH5664.pdf); And Right click on PDF -> Open with -> Firefox.
Same prompt. If i choose open, it opens it with Adobe Reader (not in Firefox tab), if save - saves a copy to specific location.
Any solutions??

hello freedomas, can you try the following?
go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information, click on profile folder/show folder and close all firefox windows afterwards. a windows explorer window should open up - in there delete the file named mimetypes.rdf (which stores the actions for handling various filetypes) - it will be regenerated again the next time you launch the browser.

Perfect! It did worked. However, it does not show any content of the PDF, but i saw plenty of solutions for that.
Thanks for a quick reply!
EDITED: Solution for blank PDF - Go to Tools>Add-Ons>Plug-Ins and disable Adobe Acrobat plug in. Once I did that, PDF opens normally.
