After much interwebbitubing , that is indeed the solution ! Bravo ! Thank you !

Dear Readers : if you only want/need one Profile , take note of your extensions and backup your bookmarks ... they will be obliterated when you delete the default user , creating a new one will make your Firefox a clean slate
