Running FF 28.0 on a Mac OSX 10.6.8 with Flash Plug-in version 13.0.0.182. The Flash plug-in works on Chrome. It's also not working in Safari - no error message, just no playback.

This is a very well known issue in Mac's. Try Mavericks 10.9.2. It does not crash. Recently there is an update released. Check it out.

We can see from your sytsem details aside that you are using Flash 13 that is probably the cause of your crash on an older Mac.

I am not sure upgrading OS X would solve that problem as the issue may be hardware related.

Upgrading the OS would be a sensible idea still; if of course your hardware is compatible. The upgrade may even be free

Thanks Ideato, the uninstall and downgrading did indeed solve the problem. Hooray :D

I won't be ready to do the free OSX upgrade until I'm sure that all my necessary programs are compatible.

Thanks everyone!!!
