I'm using TB 24.4.0 and win7. I have not been receiving some emails in TB but which I can see are on the server when using a web browser. Why are these emails not appearing in my inbox or spam or trash? I have tried ticking and un-ticking the junk boxes in the accounts section and nothing seems to get my emails. I'm baffled! But they are still on the server. I can send my self an email, from another address, and it comes through fine, but not from one particular contact.

But my web gmail account already shows as "IMAP is enabled". Am I missing something here?

Not making much progress. Yes, server setting shows as pop mail server. Tried setting up new account following 'recommended settings', using existing email address - doesn't allow? IMAP is enabled on web browser. By the way, I'm not a geek (obvious) so I do appreciate your (step by step!) assistance and gentle bedside manner.

Ok, I've now configured the gmail using IMAP and yes, the messages have arrived - yay! phew!! However, I'm still at a loss to know why only that one contact was being blocked. I have now learnt that IMAP stores the messages on the server rather than my pc - why didn't anyone tell me. I prefer the pop system and choosing to leave messages on server until I delete them - this gives me access all the time rather than only when I have internet connection. So, if that one contact was to be 'unblocked', I would go back to pop. Anyway, thanks to all for the advice - and I would love someone to answer that remaining elusive question (for the sake of my sanity - and on-going education!)
