When I am using Firefox all information is not on screen in one normal window at one time (left to right) must use slider at bottom of screen to see about the last 30% on right side of screen. This condition only exists while using Firefox, all other software/utilities/etc. fits on screen in normal window without the need for slider. My computers are either Acer Aspire 5750Z-4835 laptop running Windows-XP Pro-64Bit (Note: Laptop came with Windows-7 (stinks) which I replaced with XP-Pro 64Bit.) or Gateway desktop running Windows-XP Pro 32Bit. However, both computers have same problem in whatever site I view/go to while using Firefox, E-mail, Streaming, News Sites, etc. Using Firefox 29 now, but 28 or 21 had same issue.

Does the problem affect the toolbar area, making menus and icons oversized, or only the content (page) area?

If the toolbar area also is affected, you may have a backwards compatibility option set in your Firefox shortcut. right-click > Properties > Compatibility. On this tab, for best results, do not select anything; leave everything blank.

If only the page content is affected, does it help to reduce the zoom by holding down the Ctrl key and tapping the - key (either hyphen or minus)?

You can quickly reset the zoom level on a page by holding down the Ctrl key and tapping 0 (zero).

If the problem is that the default zoom level is too high, do you have either Default Zoom Level or No Squint installed? One of them may need adjustment.

Anything there helpful?

Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.

You can set the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx pref on the about:config page to 1.0 or on Windows 8 to 1.25 and if necessary adjust layout.css.devPixelsPerPx starting from 1.0 in 0.1 or 0.05 steps (1.1 or 0.9) to make icons show correctly.

Use an extension to adjust the text size in the user interface and the page zoom in the browser window.

You can look at this extension to adjust the font size for the user interface.

You can look at the Default FullZoom Level or NoScript extension if web pages need to be adjusted after changing layout.css.devPixelsPerPx.
