Would be nice to have a kind of "my own default setup of columns" function. In a topfolder, say Inbox I have arranged the columns I'd like to be present all over all subfolders. But Thunderbird apparantly does not work that way. Making a new subfolder somwhere I have to copy the layout from one folder that I prefer as my own general default layout and use the right click function "Apply columns to ..." .... every time making a new folder. That's a bit tiresome. It ought to be possible to have a function "Update default column layout" to my own liking. If it's already there please advice as reading forums and searching online does not give me an answer to this. Cheers

Thunderbird Mobile was installed 1 hour ago. Deleting emails on Thunderbird Mobile deletes on device only, but not on server. Accounts have been imported from desktop version. Server types are IMAP Mail Server.

Sporadically, in Thunderbird Mobile Android (Pixel 9), deleted emails do not go into the Trash Folder. E.g., as of today it shows some emails deleted today, but then there is a gap going back 4 days. Nor does it (the Trash Folder) appear to sync with the server which shows "No Messages" on my Windows 11 computer. Started about 4-5 days ago (21Nov).

I have the latest version of TB and Windows 11. I cannot edit contacts in either Cardbook or Address Book. In addressbook there are Edit and Delete tabs, but neither work. I have checked permisssions, and nont denied. I have disabled and reenabled Cardbook. Neither helps. Edits made in my gmail contacts are synchronized. It seems I am missing some simple answer, but ----? Your help will be appreciated. John

I have an @rogers.com email account and a few @yahoo.ca accounts, and have trouble setting them in Thunderbird for Android.

Rogers uses Yahoo servers for mail access but has its own servers for authentication. Ever since I first tried to set up my Rogers email account, Thunderbird has been sending me straight to the Rogers authentication page (rogersmembercentre.com) instead of the Yahoo page, regardless of whether the account that I am trying to set up is a Rrogers email or a Yahoo email (I tried both @yahoo.ca and @yahoo.com, and even @yahoo.pl). Rogers then asks me to enter my email address again, and rejects it because it's not an @rogers.com address.

Before the first time I added a Rogers account, I'm pretty sure I had seen it work correctly: I entered my Yahoo email, Thunderbird asked me to confirm Yahoo's servers and port numbers, then sent me to the Yahoo authentication page, where I entered my password and there was no problem. But it seems that the association of Yahoo mail server with the Rogers OAuth server got stuck somewhere, and I can't get it unstuck. Even if I delete Thunderbird's data and/or uninstall it and reinstall it, it still sends me to the Rogers page when I try to add a Yahoo email account. I guess this means that it's cached somewhere outside the Thunderbird app, maybe in some system cache of my phone, and it's possible that it's not a Thunderbird bug but an Android bug?

Hi there,

I'm a long time Thunderbird for Desktop user and I'm thrilled that you work hard on a nice Mobile version.

My plan is to switch completely from Aqua Mail to Thunderbird for Mobile on Android.

One of the most important features for me is to make a Backup of my accounts "with all" Emails included. Im not a fan of backup all data to a online cloud; a backup direct on the mobile device will be very fine. Is this possible already? If yes how??... ' don;t find a solution for that :) PS: The account transfer from Desktop to Mobile works very well on TB 8 for Android.

And additional a simple function to bring/sync all Data with a safe connection (accounts & emails) to a new phone. Or will this be possible in the near future?

My email hosting provider is is using mailchannels spam filter for outbound email, and after I switched from K9 to Thunderbird (Android) all my outgoing emails are being marked as spam and blocked. I have a ongoing case logged with them but checking if any one has any advice or has similar issues?

Note k9 works fine, I'm guessing they are confused with headers from PC vs mobile version

Certain Office365 accounts like university or company organisations never worked with Thunderbird, even on desktop. However, there was an extension called OWL that allowed us to use our Outlook email with Thunderbird on the Desktop app.

When using the Android app however, those emails are not transferred over when scanning the QR code. Also, I cannot figure out how to add this extension or connect these types of accounts.

If this is not currently a feature, is there a GitHub issue for it, and if not how can we create one?

A few days ago I changed from BlueMail to Thunderbird for Android phones. Everything went smoothly with the QRcode, but when using Thunderbird for Android I found out that the app on my phone was not in sync with Thunderbird in either my desktop or laptop. If i delete a message from my phone app, I`ll still find it in my desktop/laptop. Another thing: there`s no addressbook in the phone app at all, no settings. Where were they forgotten?
