Any thoughts on this will be very much appreciated. I have 2 email accounts with Yahoo and am using Thunderbird to access them. It used to work properly, but now I can receive emails on both accounts, but can only send emails on one of them. The other account gives me the error message: "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending email. The mail server responded: Request failed; Mailbox unavailable. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again." When I then look at the SMTP user name, it shows the name for the other account. When I change that user name to the correct name, I can then send emails on that account, but the process also changes the user name in the second account, such that it no longer allows sending emails. In other words, when I go to 'account settings' and set the SMTP user name for account 1, then go to account 2 settings, I find that the account 1 user name shows up. If I then change the account 2 user name and go back to look at the settings for account 1, I find that the SMTP user name in account 1 has changed to the same as I just changed in account 2. Additional info: Prior to this problem, I had gone into my emails on the Yahoo website and changed the password on both accounts. When I then opened Thunderbird it asked me for the new passwords for each account, as it normally does, and everything looked fine until I tried to send using the one account. Why does my context menu show everything in the world? How can I change this back? did this come with an update? most of these options don't work, even the simple "save image as" function

On a Windows 10 computer with TB Portable 128.6 and .7, folders can no longer be selected in the filters as ‘Run filter on’ or ‘perform these Actions’: the menu is greyed out. The phenomenon occurs with all accounts: POP and local. Various email providers, ESET virus scanner, Windows firewall, FritzBox cable router. The local account contains almost 30 GB of emails. The existing filters work as long as they do not affect the accounts or folders: for example, tagging e-mails works. Existing filters with folder-actions cannot be re-configured and no folder actions are possible when creating a new filter.

I have performed an update check and restarted Windows, changed the compression limit from 500 to 5 MB and changed a few minor settings so that the config is rewritten.

What could this be? How do I solve the problem? A workaround if necessary.

I recently switched from K9 Mail to Thunderbird Mobile and were very happy to see, that there has been a migration option to transfer all the account settings from desktop to mobile version.

Well, not all accounts and not all settings were transferred and only the first QR code has been recognized whereas the other three were unrecognizable - but still a good move!

That brought me to the idea: Wouldn't it be nice, if there were some Thunderbird Sync, where all accounts, the server settings, the identities (!!), the signatures (!) and other settings (fonts, quoting etc) would be the same on all devices?

And where would be the place to promote such an idea?

My firefox was updated to ver 135.0.1 and right after i open my browser and open context menu using right click button, the context menu showing like in that screenshot on anything and nothing from the list worked, sorry for my broken english.

When asked to re-enter the appropriate password I enter the never ending merry-go-round......I have 6 addresses. Whilst it is possible to access then via their specific accounts held with Microsoft this is time consuming,hence the preference of Thunderbirdb which up until now has been trouble free for approx 15 years. This unnecessary development makes me wonder why I only need a user naame aand password to access via Microsoft. I have tried every method kindly provided by other users to no avail. Can anyone provide the correct server setting for both IMAP and SMTP? As I have said these 'new' authentification/s are in my opinion tantamount to using a sledgehammer to crack a walnut. I hope my explantion makes sense? Surely I cannot be alone?

Every 30 seconds or so Firefox asks me to confirm location services. I keep telling it to always remember my decision, but it asks again anyways. I have uninstalled and re-installed, and I have accessed the settings in several different ways. How do I get it to stop?

How can i refresh the Recent Folders pane without having to close Thunderbird each time. It doesnt make sense that i need to close the whole programme down each time.

Hi all I am running Thunderbird 28.7 Oesr (64 bit) on MXLinux 23.5 Libretto. The Spaces toolbar in Thunderbird is leaving a thin semi-transparent artifact right across the bottom of my screen impacting the MX panel which is located there. I can move the panel but the artifact remains visible. Is it possible to rectify this? TIA Jack

Hi. I have followed the instructions on the Mozilla site above however this does not work. The Enterprise Roots keep reloading after a while.

Any idea how to stop this happening?

I have read many articles on this but nothing works. The E Roots will in initially not reload but eventually after a day or three its back.

is there a way to get Android bookmarks behave like Firefox bookmarks for Windows?. it is so frustrating to have to start over and click through bookmarks sunflowers to get to the right bookmarks, only to accidently touch a wrong url.

My profile file has become exceeding large, and I want to delete any emails older than a year. I can go to Synchronization and Storage, and there's an option to delete emails that are older than some number of days. However, the number of days for which to delete older emails is grayed out until the radio button for that option is selected. When I select it, a popup messagee appears that says this setting will permanently delete emails on both the server and local storage. If I select OK, emails older than 30 days are immediately deleted before I have a chance to modify the value. Is there a way to modify the value before the emails are deleted?

Hi, When a page asks for camera access, and I allow it, the page still doesn't work. Microphone sometimes works but sometimes doesn't. Tried it with Edge and it works. So it's not the device issue.

Tbird 128.7.1 on W11 64 bit

I want to see the full headers of some messages to see flags and produce a customised search. However, when I toggle View>Headers to Full from Normal, nothing changes, and I don't see all the header detail, just the basics. I've tried running this in Troubleshooting mode with all add-ons disabled, but no change.

This used to work OK in earlier versions, but I hardly ever need to see header details, except on this occasion.

What I'm trying to achieve is a search for a particular from/to, but only emails with attachments, and over a number of folders, and I think the headers will give me the code for an attachment present.
