1) My opening page displays "Thunderbird Mail In box: Accounts / View settings / create a new account Advanced features / Search messages / Manage message filters"  ???? 2) This is blocking my access to retrieve my emails & I cannot retrieve any emails in my in box 3) The "connect to the internet circle" is active, but nothing happens 4) I also cannot open my in box or display any emails already in my in box HELP!

The page you refer to always displays when you select the account name in the Folder Pane.

Can you see the left Folder Pane, which should show you your mail accounts and folders? If no, then enable the Folder Pane: View > Layout > select Folder Pane or 3bar menu icon > Options > Layout > select Folder Pane

Then select the Inbox to see emails.

Can you see the left Folder Pane, which should show you your mail accounts and folders? If no, then enable the Folder Pane: View > Layout > select Folder Pane or 3bar menu icon > Options > Layout > select Folder Pane

Then select the Inbox to see emails.
