Hi melmowitz, The spinning cursor will happen when a program is hanging. It sounds like when the site is visited the program is beginning to hang. Before you visit ther website again please try to clear the cache of the site and follow the troubleshooting steps for Firefox hanging:

  1. Put this in the url bar: about:permission
  2. Search for the website
  3. Click on the "Forget this Site" button
  4. Firefox hangs or is not responding - How to fix
