I have continual;y updated Firefox and Flash, but It keeps telling me Flash needs to be updated. This has been going on for weeks and I'm tired of it! I know there are some vulnerability issues with Flash, but come on, this is getting ridiculous. Is anyone going to solve this problem? I know it's not a big deal, all I have to do is click on Activate Flash Player, but it almost every time! I have Firefox 39.0 and Flash 17.0.0.134 which I just updated 2 days ago. Right now it tells mr it should be updated.

hello, the current flash version is 18.0.0.209! all older versions are affected by serious security vulnerabilities - that's why firefox won't execute old versions of the plugin by default.

The first of the Flash 18 versions were released like 4 months ago, iirc. And there have been at least 4 Flash 18 versions so far for Windows. In the last month the "latest" has been 3 different version numbers.

Phillip, even though my Flash says version 17.0.0.134, I see that I did an update on the 17th of July, and the downloader was flashplayer18_ha_install.exe. I'll try this one you sent me, the version for plugin based browsers. Perhaps the one I tried to upgrade was for IE. I'll let you know in a few days how it goes.

the current flash version 18.0.0.209 is still generating a block in Firefox 39.0

Apparently there is a live exploit out in the wild that hasn't been patched by Adobe yet.
