Can't drag the Firefox window without enabling the menu bar visible
I'm using FF 42.0 on Windows 10. I noticed that I'm no longer able to drag the FF window when it is not maximized. This is also the case on my second machine with FF 42.0 and Windows 7. I can't say when this behavior has occured first, because on my main machine (Windows 7) I'm using multiple desktops (Dexpot) and FF is on one of them always maximized and I had not to resize or drag the window. When I now upgraded my second machine to Windows 10 with only one desktop I tried to resize and drag the FF window but this is only possible when I make the menu bar visible (which is usually not) and pick and drag at this small part at the top of the window. I have make the menu bar visible per menu, only pressing the ALT key to have the menu occur doesn't help.

Hello,
Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
- Click the menu button , click Help and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows:
- On Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut.
- On Mac: Hold the option key while starting Firefox.
- On Linux: Quit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox -safe-mode
(you may need to specify the Firefox installation path e.g. /usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme, or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps in the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.
I assume that you either need to have the menu or the title bar visible to be able to frag a window. You can toggle the title bar on/off via the "Title Bar" button at the bottom left in the Customize palette window.

I'd never need to use that before...

It turned out it was a setting in the extension "Tab Mix Plus", see attached picture since I don't know the english translation.
Thx a lot for giving me the direction!
