Hi, my grandpa (born 1929) often accidentally hides main panel in Firefox and sets is so it switches to fullscreen shortly after starting. It causes him problems and he is unable to tell me how does he make it.

Is there any way to block these particular features without loosing other important features? I could make the settings folder read-only for example but it would probably block adding bookmarks etc.

thanks

PS: he is running Kubuntu linux and Firefox 28 (I am going to update it in a short time)

You could at least make the toolbar visible in Full Screen mode by setting browser.fullscreen.autohide to false (in Full Screen mode: Hide Toolbars in the right-click context menu). You would need an extension to disable the F11 key to prevent switching to Full Screen mode that way. I don't know if keyconfig can remap this key to something less 'destructing'.

If necessary then you can hide menu items with code in userChrome.css or with an extension.
