Firefox has problems with script & very slow loading. Why?

Firefox takes forever to load. Chrome doesn't. UC browser doesn't. Firefox has a chronic problem with script stopping its operation. Chrome doesn't. UC browser doesn't. I even uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled. This is a brand new computer, so I seriously doubt it is the computer. With these problems, just what makes Firefox so great in your mind(s)? I am NOT impressed with it. I am going to make Chrome my default browser.
