Since the update Thunderbird will not download my emails

Thunderbird did its update today, 29 January and now will not download emails from my ISP. I have also turned my firewall off to see if this was the issue but there was no difference.

Still in Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in safe mode. - https://support.mozilla.org/kb/safe-mode
