copying profile from stick: message pops up destination file name too long

Ok so to solve many issues I deleted profile & T-bird, then reinstalled. Now trying to copy profile on stick to profile. BUT I keep getting message destination file name too long- try renaming or skip. Question: if I skip will I still get all my profile back? Renaming 15+ yrs of files seems crazy.

Again MUCH appreciated for any help. This weekend plus has been consumed by T-Bird issues (ok really my own iniquities), chores & things are piling up YIKES

Good lord it must be me. Tried copying one more time expecting to hit the "skip" button to see what happens .... but it copied without any problems. So I am totally confused as to what happened or how it resolved :-/
