Is there anyway (add-ons or settings) to save Flash cookies while still deleting regular cookies?
Prior to Firefox Quantum releasing, I used the BetterPrivacy add-on to selectively save certain flash cookies while deleting others. This is particularly helpful when playing flash games with either longer play times or high graphics requirements.
Are there any current ways to do save flash cookies from individual sites while still clearing the rest my browser cache on close?
At the moment, I have to go into the users/username/appdata/roaming/macromedia folder on Windows, copy the info I want before closing the browser, save it in a different location, and then paste it back in when returning to that site/game. Otherwise, all my flash data is erased every time Firefox closes.

Hello, Try to use an extension like cookie manager. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/a-cookie-manager/ I used it in the past; it's a really good add-on. Have a nice day!

Hi atf1833, I think you could try the following strategy:
(1) In the settings for "Clear history when Firefox closes" do NOT clear Cookies (it's okay to clear Cache, as far as I know)
(2) In the settings for Cookies on the Options page, change from "Keep until: they expire" to "Keep until: I close Firefox"
(3) In the Exceptions dialog for Cookies, add exceptions for sites whose data you want to save. The format requires the protocol, so in other words:
- http://mozilla.org => Allow
- https://mozilla.org => Allow
I haven't tried seeing how this affects Flash, but if Flash local storage objects follow the settings for regular cookies, that's what I would try.
Thanks Anna! I'll check that one out.
@jscher - I would still like the regular cookies to clear if possible.
Also, in response to item 3 - I've tried this a few times, but whenever I close Firefox the exceptions get erased. Do you know a way to prevent that from happening?

If you set the default permission to "Keep until: Firefox closes" then the cookies for all sites where you didn't make an exception will expire naturally and be removed.
The "Clear history" setting, however, does not honor exceptions.
