I used to be to view image infomation using the following

Menu—>Tools—>Web Developer—>Images—>View Image Information

Is there an option to do something similar in the newer versions of firefox.

I can get to that feature by right-clicking on any image -> View Image Information

Yes but on the previous version you would get a list of images and their values in a seperate window.

That information is available via "Tools -> Page Info -> Media" that you also get when you use "View Image Info" i the right-click context menu. Maybe you mean the Network Monitor as part of the developer tools. There is a filter bar where you can select what data to display.
