Sometime after the latest update, I've noticed that my HD purchases on youtube do not have the option of playing any higher than 480p in firefox when they used to be able to play in 1080p. The other browsers, chrome, MS edge do not have this issue and auto detect at 1080p.

The strange thing is that other youtube videos will play in 1080p in firefox, just not the HD videos that I've purchased.

Now I've stuck with firefox for well over a decade but this may be what makes me switch browsers if it's not resolved because I'd have to switch browsers to view content I paid for in any quality playback.

Please solve.

That is based on your Graphics card on-board or GPU. Since there is no specs to base what your referring to this makes it hard to diagnosis the problem.
