SOLVED: How can I import my (broken) Windows Live Mail contacts to Thunderbird 68
The " MoreFunctionsForAddressBook" add-on does not work in modern Thunderbird versions. There is another add-on that does work assuming Live Mail is functioning properly. I have successfully used that one on another device. In this case my Windows Live Mail app did not seem to function properly. It could not export anything. I have managed to move my mail by copying it to an unrelated folder, then copying into Thunderbird.
Is there a way to get my contacts ("xxx.contact") into Thunderbird? I am using Thunderbird v 68.5.0 (32-bit) on Windows 10 Pro x64 v 1909. Thanks in advance for any help.

On W10, the Contacts folder is at C:\Users\username\Contacts
Select all the .contact files, Export, choose csv or vCards. Either type can be imported to TB (Tools/Import...Address books...), but to merge the vCards, open a cmd window in the directory with the vCards (Windowskey+R, type cmd) and type copy *.vcf merged.vcf
If you export to csv, see this article:

I can see and view the individual contacts, but Win-10 itself provides no mechanism to "export" them that I am aware of.
There are several xxx.group files in the mix, as well as an xxx.WAB file. The .WAB file seems to work like a .cab or .zip file, unloading its contents to the then-current directory. The contents are the xxx.contact and xxx.group files.
Can you copy the .contact files into the Contacts folder (see picture)? Drag and drop works here. Click the Import button to import the .wab file. You might have to recreate the contact groups as mailing lists in TB.
RESOLVED
I almost never fully open a File Explorer window to full screen. As a result I failed to see the Export menu function. Derp.
Having now "discovered" that function, I am happy to say your solution worked perfectly ... and thank you!
