I uninstalled my Firefox today because it was crashing a lot! Then I installed it back and then wrote my Firefox Sync account username and password thinking that my bookmarks and passwords will be restored, but to my dismay everything was cleared with the uninstall. How can I recover my bookmarks and passwords that are stored with my Firefox Sync account? What happened here?! Please help me!!!

Firefox Sync IS NOT A BACKUP SERVICE. It was never designed to be one and it doesn't work well as one.

Fortunately, unless you manually deleted all of the application data, you probably still have your Firefox profile saved on your computer. If you go to the about:profiles page in Firefox, you may see more than one profile. One of those may have your old data in it.

Hope this helps.
