Can't set Firefox 64 as the default program for using or viewing files. had to reinstall Firefox 32 to continue using firefox as a default program but that causes the problem of now it has to open in a new window.

for some reason Firefox 32 will show up as an option but Firefox 64 will not register, or even allow me to set it as a default program. even if I go to the folder, and click on the program, it refuses to allow me the option.

both of those are referring to setting firefox as the default browser, that is not my problem, I want to use Firefox64 as the default for opening files like Gifs, that are not usable in windows anymore, and must be opened in a browser or other program.
