Hello, I have several email accounts, but have a real problem with Outlook and Yahoo, I cannot receive emails sent from Outlook to Yahoo in Thunderbird, although if I look at Outlook web page, it lists them all, also I can send and receive on my mobile (Android), so would ask anyone if they could check my settings in Thunderbird. Outlook IMAP: outlook.office365.com Port: 993 SSL/TLS Normal password Smtp: smtp.office365.com Port: 587 STARTTLS Normal password

Yahoo IMAP: imap.mail.yahoo.com Port: 993 SSL/TLS Normal password Smtp: smtp.mail.yahoo.com Port: 465 SSL/TLS Normal password Would really appreciate any assistance, thanks Colin

Microsoft no longer supports transmitting your main password via basic authentication (e.g Normal Password) methods. You need an app-specific password for use with Normal Password authentication. The same applies to Yahoo and the other major email providers. As for Yahoo, change to OAuth2 authentication instead of Normal Password. Microsoft currently doesn't support OAuth2 for personal accounts, but this may change in the near future. For now, app-specific password is the way to go. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-billing/using-app-passwords-with-apps-that-don-t-support-two-step-verification-5896ed9b-4263-e681-128a-a6f2979a7944 for details.
