Whatever the settings my outgoing e-mails are always in Plain Text. This applies both to new messages and when I am forwarding or replying to an incoming e-mail in html. Until fairly recently all format settings, and particularly Automatic, worked normally. How do I re-activate the html setting? Thanks.

TB will send in plain text if there is no html content. If you send a message with html, such as a link embedded in text like this, does it get sent as an html message?

What do you have in Settings/Composition, for Sending Format (applies to all accounts)? What is the default format for the account in Account Settings, Composition & Addressing?

In Global Composing Preferences, Sending Format was previously set to Automatic and is now set to Only HTML. In Account Settings, Composition and Addressing is set to Compose messages in HTML format.

Thanks. The system is now working properly and may have corrected itself spontaneously
