Why is the spell check not automatically working in message boxes, i.e. eBay? I did use "Spell Check" but only by using the drop down list to request it, that's not how it operated in the past; it was automatic before this latest upgrade. I suggest it's a glitch in the software that was overlooked by whomever it was that created the code. I ALWAYS avoid any grammar assist as I've learned how inaccurate the recommendations are.
Your recent upgrade missed this added necessity specifically w/ regard to message box comments on eBay. One can use the drop down menu to request a spell check of a specific word but that's time consuming and should be automatic by now.
Is the spell check setting correct? Tools > Options > Advanced : General: Browsing: "Check my spelling as I type"
I sent Laura Ingraham 365 Topic of the Day the following:
I am no longer able to activate Spell Check on LI 365 Topic of the Day. The button is there but nothing happens when I click on it. I have Firefox and until recently it underlined in red squiggle a misspelled word with a drop down option for a replacement. The problem has to be on LI 365 because spell check does still work on all other sites I use. Would appreciate help.
They responded:
We have not changed anything on the site regarding this. It sounds like your browser may not be reading the code properly. We check the spelling of everything before it is posted so while we appreciate members looking to help us with this, we generally have things checked and rechecked daily.
So as my browser please help!
