Hi Nalin,

I think you're confusing 'tag' with 'tab'. I don't think there is any way to set this behaviour thru the standard settings in Firefox currently, except thru the advanced about:config settings, but there are some very handy add-ons that can make it do exactly what you want it to, very easily.

The NewTabURL addon sounds like just the solution for you - you can set it to open either "Blank page", "Home page", "Current page" or a user defined URL.
