everytime i hit certain keys the newtab occurs and no matter what every key i hit makes a new tab

my keyboard is going haywire. I hit a key and then the bracket key minus key and y automatically enter and open a new tab; there is a new toolbar at the bottom of the page i have never seen that has a bracket that i have never used new tab virus like actions
