I can not set up a sync account because I get a reply that I have an invalid email address
I downloaded version 4 of firefox and then tried to set up a sync account. However, all I get is that my email account is invalid. Please advise.

Have you tired using a different email address for that regisstration?
it's not a matter of an invalid e-mail address. Right after typing the first letter the "invalid e-mail address" message pops up!
Does that error message go away once you have finished typing a valid email address: xxxxx@server.com ?
