I use Fast Stone Capture for capturing web pages- I have problem using it in the new version 4.0.1
I use Fast Stone Capture for capturing web pages- I mostly use the Capture Scrolling Window option to capture the ''''entire web page''''. The problem here is when i click the option a Red selection outline like a window appears asking you to click the web page and when you click it, it scrolls to capture the entire web page. Here the Section outline should include only the web page as it was with the version 3.x but In the new version 4.0.1 the selection window includes the Toolbars, Tab bar and Menu bar and finally the capture contains only repetitions of the Toolbar and Tab bar. I checked with the Google Chrome it doesn't happen with chrome or any other browser. Hope you got my point, i have uploaded Web capture samples.
1) Web Capture in older version 3.x Version 3.x
2) Web capture in new version 4.0.1 Version 4.0.1

Hello
First, sorry for my english which is not perfect ! I had the same problems than you and the same screens; Now I think a solution exists since a few days if you install IEtab, but the new version IEtab2, which was created on 10 May 2011 !! (The first version is not compatible with Firefox 4.X !) I have the version Faststone Capture 5.3 , and with this version the result is perfect ! So, before or after (it's not important) you have open Faststone Capture , you put a left click on IEtab2 to open the window in Firefox, but with the engine of Internet Explorer ! It needs only a few seconds until Firefox opens the page with IExplorer engine . And now , it is like with Firefox 3.X : it is easyly to save a scrolling window ! You will also see than the red selection don't contains the toolbar, menu bar and other things, but only the web page ! . And the saving from the scrolling page will run very quickly like in the old versions of Firefox and not as slow as it is with Firefox 4.X !
I hope (and think) that if you have not the same version of Faststone Capture, you will have tjhe same result !
And I have seen that during wrtiting and sending my post , you post a new message and had no solution . Now I hope my post can help you , I am happy for keeping Firefox 4.X , continue to using Faststone and not reinstall Firefox 3.X !...
Greetings from France !

I have forgotten : 1.- this problem was existing in my version Faststone only by the entire capture of a scrolling window, but not in the other possibilities of capture. 2.- after you have used IEtab2 and made your "scrolling saving", you put a second left click on IEtab2, and now you will still have opening the pages with the engine of Firefox 4.X like before saving the scrolling window !...
An other possibility is using Screengrab, but it is far, very far from Faststone ! and you have not the same possibilities like than with Faststone !...

Hi Sebloebrm, thanks for the tip. Think i got your point that you want me to install IE Tab 2 add-on isn't it. But I'm not happy with add-on cos i used to have a lot of add-ons long back i think Firefox Ver 2.0 or something, when Ver 3 came out most of the add-on were not supported and i had to start hunting for new add-ons, it a never ending story and so I eventually lost interest in add-ons.
For this I'm currently using a different approach, Since there are no issues with Goggle chrome, i open the required URL in Chrome do the Capture. But i think your way of doing it is more convenient . I 'll give it a try. Once again thanks for the tip Sebloebrm.
The reason i posted here is that someone from the developmental side after seeing this would rectify these drawbacks when the next version come out, as Flawless Firefox.
Hi Parvath ! I'm in compleete agreement with you about the neverending story with Firefox and the problems of installing, uninstalling and hunting for new add-ons which are compatible when we have installed a new version !
I'm also hope the developmental side will create a flawless Firefox !!
Thank you for your solution : I have try it after installing Chrome, because I only used Firefox like browser. Now with Chrome, it will be longer and needs a little more time when I open the URL in Chrome to do the capture, but it is possible ! Now after testing, I prefer the solution with IEtab2, it's easyer and more faster (but it's only my opinion!)
Now you can also try both solutions and look which you'll keep ! I think we are not alone to have this problem . To have posted the solutions we have found here is a good thing for the users of Faststone and like you say, for the developmental side to rectify the drawbacks which exist with some software...
Good luck !
