http://www.cnbc.com/id/17689937/ Anyway to make it work? It works in IE and did in FF3. I've allowed most everything and have no blocking turned on. Using FF4.0.1 on win2000 system.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

The site works fine for me on Win7x64 Fx4.0.1.

The Adobe SVG 6.0 viewer you have is for developers' testing. I would certainly try disabling that. Plenty will deny this but I believe you will have regular troubles unless you run your Win 2000 in barebones form on standard tasks. Be wary of third party toolbars. Make sure your plug-ins are up-to-date.

You might have a look at disabling Hardware Acceleration(I have no idea whether it will be enabled on your set-up) - Options>Advanced>General>Browsing> make sure"Use Hardware Acceleration ..." is unchecked.

But, particularly, work through cor-el's suggestions.

Just for the record. Win 2000 is an approved operating system with the following

Recommended Hardware

  * Pentium 4 or newer processor that supports SSE2
   * 512MB of RAM
    * 200MB of hard drive space

I disabled hardware acceleration check box in FF Options under Advanced/General section.

I am using the Default Theme (Strata?)

I've disabled the Adobe 1.0.0.1 in plug-ins. Don't even know why it's there since there's a later one.

I have Microsoft DRM and Shockwave Flash 8 disabled. The latter allows me to not see flash ads unless I want and for other flash I can clk on the box to start it.

I already had the following disabled Java Quick Starter 1.0 Logitech Device Detectioin 1.21.0.11 XULRunner 1.1.1 AVG Safe Search 9.0.0.872

I have Stop Autoplay 1.2.1 with Options to it. I have it Enabled to Block Embedded Media When Loading a Page. I just changed the Flash tab from blocking all Flash Media to "Don't deal with Flash (ie allow)". That may be where the problem was.

I got that from http://netticat.ath.cx/forum/index.php

The page loads correctly now, so something done above worked.

Thanks for the suggestions.
