When I go into Firefox, it keeps telling me, URGENT, my version of Firefox is no longer protected against online attacks. I then try to upgrade to version 4.0.1 which is there for me to click on, but I keep getting pop up with options of store file or cancel. I don't really know what version I have of Fire Fox, but figure if its telling me I need to up grade and not secure I need to do something. Thank You.

Valittu ratkaisu

I imagine the auto-updater in Firefox 3.5 may not be able to go directly to Firefox 4.

  1. Go to http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/
  2. Click on the green Firefox download button (a prompt should appear asking you to save or open) -- you probably already got this far
  3. Save the Firefox 4 file to where you download files (e.g., your Downloads folder or Desktop)
  4. Close Firefox completely
  5. Open up the folder you downloaded Firefox 4 .exe file and double-click the file

I'm hoping you should be good to go from there...or are you running into issues saving the file?
