I have had FireFox for many years and have upgraded each time without problems. This time when I upgraded to V10 all seem well until I tried to open FireFox (icon) and it took me to msn.com home page. I uninsulated V10 and tried to replace it with V9, but it also took me to msn. I went to restore (Win 7) hoping it would restore me to the original setup. But then I could not open FireFox or MSN. I restored back to the most recent settings. Still, the Firefox icon keeps bring me back to msn. This is very upsetting since all my favorites are booked marked with FireFox and I prefer using FireFox over any browser. Please help. Thanks

Hi tflan09,

Firefox is a web browser that grants you access to web based content. MSN is content provider. It sounds like your homepage has just been changed. Is that correct?

You should take a look at the Knowledge Base article How to set the home page. Your homepage might have been changed by a particular site. Sites like MSN, Yahoo, etc have been know to ask to become your homepage.

There are steps in that article to reset your homepage preferences to default. I would try that first to clear out any strangeness. If that works, you can try setting your homepage again to your personal preference.

If that doesn't work you should look at the article Preferences not saved.

Hopefully this helps!
