firefox 3.6.8dmg was put in the trash.How do I remove it?
firefox3.6.8 dmg was put in the trash; therefore I cannot empty trash. how do I GET FIREFOX 3.6.8 DMG out of the trash?

Did you previously install Firefox properly and dragged the Firefox application out of the DMG file?

I'm not a Mac user. Can't you just drag it out or restore it? Does anything in this article help: You can't empty the Trash or move a file to the Trash.
No, I can't drag it out from the other trash. It won't let me empty the trash because firefox 3.6.8 dmg is in use & in the trash. Is there anyone else who is familar with the Mac & can tell me what to do? Thanks, rita

It was installed properly; but somehow got thrown into the trash.
Try to repair the disk permissions:
cor-el..........Thankyou............it worked!
